英国拉夫堡大学博士课程

1、前期基本工作

2、准备申请材料

     英国的博士基本申请材料和研究生大致相同,学位证和毕业证,成绩单,个人陈述,简历,两封推荐信,还有语言成绩。除了这些,博士申请特有的,也是最重要的就是研究报告了。研究报告是体现你对即将要在博士阶段研究课题的想法介绍,是给博士导师的最初印象。是显示你研究的能力和潜力,也是录取的关键因素。下面我们来看下全英前10的大学拉夫堡大学对于申请博士的研究报告的小建议:

     完成以上三部曲,博士的申请基本已经大功告成了。千万不要轻视这三步曲,一环紧扣一环缺一不可。导师同意后即可进行网申。同时需确定语言的能力,是否需要衔接学期语言课程。毕竟语言课程也为以后的学习生活提供很好的语言基础。

     说到这里,很多同学会疑惑,什么是Studentship?和Scholarship有什么不一样。那“外服留学”再科普一下:

     OxfordUniversity对“Studentship”的项目说明:A departmental awardwhich provides funding for postgraduate research students who are working onspecific projects. And the funding is normally provided by an organization suchas a Research Council or through a combination of funds from an academicdepartment or external body.

     所以不同于Scholarship:

     1、Studentship通常是由具体机构为具体研究课题而设立的项目,也就是说,这个项目已经有了具体的研究方向和研究题目,而且一般有了导师负责。所以,同学们就不用纠结如何选题,也就不用盲目陶瓷~

     2、由于Studentship由具体的机构赞助,所以对于申请人会有一定的要求。可能某个EU或者英国本土的机构只赞助自家学生,可能不考虑国际学生。

     拉夫堡大学以上提到的研究课题的Studentship都是开放给国际生哒。博士3年的学费全减免,简直惊呆小伙伴。要申请这个Studentship需要和导师联系,讨论研究课题,提交proposal,阐述想法;附加CV等必备申请材料。每个材料需要非常细致的准备以备通过导师的审核。
